Went down to Denmark Street to capture the mood before the community is squashed under a bulldozer. Yep the famous and beautiful Tin Pan Alley is making way for Crossrail. I feel all this gentrification is destroying the very soul of my beloved London.
Bought my Fender Jazz Bass from Hanks many years ago – still cant play for toffee.
I managed to plan my visit to Denmark Street at the same time as an ITV film crew. See if you can spot a Cloudy doing his thing in this news report.
Alley behind Denmark street. Already boarded up and covered in graffiti
Love this little alley I discovered wandering around the back streets of Kings Cross
These White Bicycles are in memory of a cyclist that died on that junction in a traffic collision. I feel a lump in my throat each time I pass one of these memorials.
I guess if I was born 60 odd years earlier I would be working in the photography department of one of the great newspaper buildings on Fleet Street. Love the Express Building’s 20′s grandeur
Staff watch over the balcony as the AC sings Christmas songs in the Atrium
Love a bit of ‘street’ or candid photography.
Just window shopping!
This Sandwich Bar outside Blackfriars Station has been boarded up for at least ten years – Love this little statue, she always makes me smile each time I pass.
All photos were taken on the Leica M3, Voightlander Skopar 21mm and PAN 400.
